The money has been sent to the two schools (50% to each) and both schools have used it for newbuildings: Nsiika for an orphanage (picture to the left) and Nyamirama for classrooms. The projects are well under way, but have not been finished. It is hoped that there will be more funding coming in. GoFundMe is still open...

Contributions of 1800 euros were collected during the summer and sent to the two schools, 900 euros each. During the autumn another 600 came in to our account through GoFundMe and direct transfers.
Nyamirama is going to use the funds for three new classrooms. They are estimated to cost 30,000 dollars. They are needed since many more students came in as the school started to use the 100 computers that were donated from Åland. The need for more space in the dormitories is even more urgent because of this. Here's their website.
Nsiika is building an orphanage, at the Mustard Seed outpost school in the Kakoma Village, near Mbarara, the capital of the province (population 200,000) . The need for such a place is great, since there are many small children born and young parents are unable to support them. The aim is to support the children throughout their childhood. The buildning of the house is estimated at 6,000 dollars. It is hoped that the structure will be very strong so as to withstand rain and strong winds, unlike a wooden structure, that housed a school, that fell down last year.
